LINCE is an evaluation and certification methodology for ICT security products developed by the National Cryptologic Center. It has been developed to be an objective means to assess and certify the ability of an ICT product to handle information securely.
The objective of a LINCE evaluation is to allow an evaluation laboratory to verify whether a product conforms to its specification, determining the effectiveness of the implemented security functionality. This evaluation is carried out based on the laboratory’s experience, information contained in the manufacturer’s documentation and product information from publicly available sources.
